Governors’ skills and experience

St. Francis is fortunate in the range of people who have volunteered to become governors. Between them, they bring a wide variety of skills and experience in support of the school.

The governing body is made up of eight Foundation Governors who are appointed by the Bishop of Brentwood, two Parent Governors who are elected by the parent body, two staff governors of which one elected by the staff and the second is co-opted by the full governing body, and a Local Authority Governor who is appointed by Essex County Council, the Headteacher is an Ex-Officio Governor.
